What started as a small business in Aubry's home has grown into a beloved Camillus gift shop. Now, Witty Wicks is inviting the community to celebrate 15 years together.
In 2011, when her youngest son started school, Aubry decided it was time to start a business of her own.
She wanted something that would allow her to be there for school activities, breaks, and sick days while building something she could call her own.
What began on a small table in her kitchen quickly grew beyond anything she imagined.
Before long, the business had taken over the basement, and Aubry's neighbors and best friends, Erin and Cassie, began helping after dropping their own children off at school.
Together, they helped turn a small home-based business into something much bigger.
Growing With the Camillus Community
By April 2016, Witty Wicks had outgrown the basement and opened its first storefront in the Village of Camillus, New York.
In 2018, the business moved to its current location at Township 5, where it continues to welcome customers looking for candles, gifts, home décor, apparel, and more.
Through the years, Witty Wicks has become more than a place to shop. It's a business built on friendships, community connections, and a genuine appreciation for the people who have supported it.
Now, 15 years after that first kitchen-table operation, Aubry is celebrating a milestone she never could have imagined.
"It's hard to believe we're celebrating 15 years of Witty Wicks! We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this community, and we're so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. We wouldn't be here without our customers, and we're excited to celebrate this milestone with them," says Aubry.
